Engg student, minor rescued

Nagpur: A final year engineering student and another minor girl were rescued from salon at Abhyankar Nagar on Thursday where they were forced to into sex trade. Bajaj Nagar police have arrested two persons, Lokesh Mishra and Ramdayal Bandewar, for their alleged involvement in forcing the two young girls to indulge in flesh trade luring them with money. The rescued girls were sent to the government shelter home.
8 GMCH employees booked
Ajni police have booked eight employees of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for cheating and fraud after an inquiry revealed they had misused their position to embezzle around ₹1 lakh. The employees would issue fake receipts for MRI and collect charges from patients, the probe had found. The matter came to fore after many patients raised the issue with the GMCH administration.
Battery explodes, boy injured
Chirag Patil, 9, was injured after a battery exploded near his face while he was playing with it at his residence in Saoner on Thursday. Chirag, a student of Std IV, was trying to playfully complete a circuit of a small table fan when the battery exploded. Some portion of Chirag’s face, ears and one side of head were injured in the incident. tnn
