Folk is the talk at SCZCC art exhibition

Nagpur: Only with the support of all sections of society can handloom, handicraft, folk arts and folk literature can reach desired heights,” said former corporator Parinita Fuke while inaugurating the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ exhibition on Friday.
The art exhibition, which will run till November 8, is being held at South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) in Civil Lines, from 11am to 10pm daily.
Along with magic shows, folk art and dance performances were held on Saturday. The exhibition features severals stalls dedicated to home decor, furniture, and has a food zone as well.
Several keynote speakers said that such exhibitions are needed to give a platform to folk dance, rural art and the artists. They also expressed gratitude to the centre for supporting such entrepreneurs.
The exhibition also has a variety of artifacts keeping in mind upcoming Diwali festival. The organizers have appealed to the Nagpurians to extend support to folk artists by visiting the exhibition.
