NAGPUR: A 93-year-old woman from Nagpur, Runa Chitale, who spent a month in jail during the Emergency in 1975, cast her vote on Wednesday during the Maharashtra assembly elections.
Chitale arrived at the polling booth in the Town Hall area, accompanied by her daughter-in-law, and emphasized that age was no barrier to participating in democracy.
