NAGPUR: A programme of old and new melodious songs organized by

The show started with the Mukesh and Asha Bhosle hit ‘Sansar hai ek nadiya’ from the movie ‘Raftar’. It was sung by Anjali Bangade. Over thirty songs were performed which included duets and solos. ‘Main se meena se’ was sung by Priya Gupta and Ravindra Paranjape.

Hema and Sushrut Fulare presented RD Burman’s ‘Dekho maine dekha hai ek sapna’.

Singers presented beauties from different eras of music as the programme proceeded. The audience, full of family and friends, cheered for their loved ones. Rendition was ‘Neela aasman so gaya’ from the movie ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ was sung beautifully by Madhav Patle. The song was originally sung by Amitabh Bachchan.

The other songs included ‘Kora kagaz tha ye mann mera’, ‘Surmayee akhiyon mein’, ‘Rote rote hasna seekho’, ‘Raat ke humsafar’, ‘Zindagi pyar ka geet hai’, ‘Kitne bhi tu karle sitam’, ‘Dil kya kare jab kisi se’, ‘Ye jawani hai deewani and ‘Tirchhi topiwale’, besides others.

The enthusiasm of singers was worth watching as they presented one hit song after the other. A receptive audience too rose to the occasion and kept cheering them from time to time. There were some songs like ‘Kitne bhi tu karle sitam’, ‘Tirchhi topiwale’ and ‘Main se meena se’ which got repeated applause.

The singers were Priya Gupta, Rajeshwari Gore, Shyam Dhomne, Pratibha Kadu, Hema Fulare, Kiran Jaiswal, Urmila Atkar, Jayant Joshi, Shrikant Dixit, Shikha Kattewar, Madhav Patle, Kshitij Shrivastava, Prakash Deshpande, Prashant Mankar, Shaila Kachole, MV Pardhe, Ravindra Paranjape, Ajay Deshpande, Anjali Bangade and Sushrut Fulare.

The event was coordinated by Tushar Vighne and Simran Naidu.

The programme was conceptualized by Parineeta Maturkar.
