Music lovers relish melodious songs by Swarmilan
Nagpur: ‘Chhalke Teri Aakhon Se’, a karaoke musical event organized by Swarmilan group, gave music lovers a chance to relish evergreen songs at Utkarsh Hall of Mor Hindi Bhavan on Saturday.
The programme commenced with a wonderful song ‘Gali mein aaj chand nikla’, sung by Sulbha Mandekar. This was followed by a duet performance by Mandekar and Sanjay Pillay, ‘Maang ke saath tumhara’ which was enjoyed by the audience.
‘Saiyan dil mein aana re’, sung by Usha Bhosle, got repeated applause and got an encore. Jayprakash Malviya’s rendition of ‘Chandan sa badan’ and ‘Janewale zara mudke dekho’ won the hearts of spectators. Malviya also presented ‘Deewana hua badal’, a duet with Vandana Vandile.
Some other songs sung by Pillay were ‘Tum agar saath dene ka vada karo’ and ‘Dard-e-dil dard-e-jigar’. He also sang duets ‘Parbat se kaali ghata takraee’ along with Mandekar and ‘Shyam teri bansi pukare Radha naam’ along with Vandana.
Songs like ‘Aate jaate haste gaate’, sung by Anjali Wankhede, ‘Phoolon ka taron ka’ by TK Balakrishnan, ‘Janu meri jaan’ by Tejas Athavale and Dhananjay Bapat, ‘Main akela apni dhun mein’ by Bapat, and ‘Yaad naa jaaye bitein dino ki’, ‘Main ek raja hoon’, both sung by Sudhir Pillay, and ‘Yeh ishq haye’ by Arya Kshatriya received a grand response from the audience.
‘Naina barse rimjhim rimjhim’, sung by Vandana and ‘Teri dosti mera pyar’, ‘Tujhko pukare mera pyar’ and ‘Aaj mousam bada’ by Sagar Dhoble were well-received. The other songs included ‘Jag ghumiya thare jaisa na koi’, ‘Goriya re goriya re’, ‘Aane wala pal jaane wala hai’, ‘Aisi deewangi’, ‘Pyar hame kis mod pe le aaya’ and ‘Dil ki yeh aarzoo thi’.

The programme was conceptualized by Mandekar and Sanjay Pillay. Anchor Omprakash Sahu kept the audience entertained throughout the programme.
