Special squad arrests 87 in 63 days, seize material worth Rs 1.49cr

The special team, under API Prashant Annachhatre, has so far registered 18 cases for transportation of illegal liquor, arrested 19 persons and seized materials worth Rs2.75 lakhs.
Around nine cases of gambling have also been registered against 51 people and materials worth more than Rs11.58 lakhs seized.
Apart from API Annachatre, the squad also comprises naik constable Suraj Bharti, constables Vinod Sontakke, Chetan Jadhav, Prabhakar Mankar, Ravindra Raut and Mrudul Nagre.
