Bus with 30 on board falls off bridge in Jalgaon; 2 die

NASHIK: Two people died and close to a dozen were critically injured when the private luxury bus they were travelling in hit a road divider and fell 20 feet from a small bridge across a stream near Pimpalkotha in Erandol taluka of Jalgaon district on Saturday morning.

The accident had occurred around 8.30am when the bus, travelling with 30 passengers from Neek Ka Thana in Rajasthan, was moving along Jalgaon-Erandol road on its way to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

Police were yet to identify the deceased.

Constable Anil Patil of the Erandol police, who visited the accident spot for a panchanama, said the driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle after hitting the road divider.
