Industry body urges MLAs to get air service started
NASHIK: The
The association has invited MLAs from the district for a meeting, which will be held at NIMA House on Sunday. They plan to discuss industry-related issues and pursue the air service issue with the state government.

Among other industrial issues, commencement of air service remains priority. "Even though the Ozar airport, near Nashik, is on the en-route map of Aeronautical Information Publication of the director general civil aviation, it is yet to start air service. Earlier, Air India had proposed Mumbai-Nashik air service, but it could not work out as GVK refused to give slots for flights at Mumbai airport. We want hopping flights via Mumbai or Pune to Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi. So, we will urge the MLAs to make efforts for this at the government-level," NIMA vice-president Mangesh Patankar said.
