Calling all voters via ‘asinine’ jibe poster

NAVI MUMBAI: A city-based social activist, Sundeep Sharma, has come out with a creative online awareness

to ensure that people do not miss out their chance to go out and

vote

on the polling day.


“Voting records in the past show that electoral turnout in the Mumbai metropolitan region is just about 50-55%. That is why I though of designing this funny poster with a serious message to make the citizens get their fingers inked,” said Sharma.

The poster shows a donkey, with the caption ‘I Don't Vote’, which serves as a sarcastic commentary” according to the social activist.

The poster which is actually encouraging voters to exercise their franchise during the upcoming polls will soon be making its presence on various social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, besides WhatsApp and other such platforms.

“Governments are made not just by those who vote, but also because of those who do not vote. Hence, for a healthy

democracy

, it is utmost essential for all citizens to vote for candidates of their choice. Otherwise, you may just as well compare yourself to a donkey, who does not vote,” he added in all seriousness.
