GNIDA aims to turn the area as 'lungs' of the City with beautification measures so it becomes a tourist spot in the coming months.

“In an internal meeting, a presentation on Miyawaki-style forest development was given whereby it was decided that all green belts and similar areas of GNIDA will be developed into tourist spots,” GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan said.

Akira Miyawaki, a Japanese botanist and expert in plant ecology devised the Miyawaki method of tree plantation where saplings grow 10 times faster leading to 30 times more dense development of forest on a patch of land.
