Lotus homebuyers threaten protest over pace of work

Noida: Homebuyers from towers 28, 29 and 30 of the

Lotus

Boulevard project have claimed that despite a change in the interim resolution professional, the finishing work at towers 28 and 29, was being delayed. Around 120 buyers are waiting to get flats in the buildings.

The homebuyers have also claimed that construction work at tower 30 that has 180 flats, has come to a complete halt.

“The work was in progress till such time that there was a change in the interim resolution professional (IRP). Now, the work has come to a complete stand still. We have been seeking an appointment with the IRP and we are planning to organise a protest,” said Lalit Behl, a buyer at Lotus Boulevard. “We have been pressing for the last round of work left for the two towers. The wait is unnecessary because the buyers have paid up their dues in escrow accounts and it is now only a matter of execution,” Prabhakar Bhardwaj, the president of Lotus Boulevard flat buyers’ association, said.

The former IRP, Prabhjit Soni, had driven completion of some pending flats with buyers’ funds collected through escrow account. A change in resolution professional was introduced in November 2019.

Current IRP Chandra Prakash was not available on call for comments.
