NOIDA: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) will conduct a month-long special inspection of state-run and aided primary and upper primary schools across Noida from July 5.
According to the directives issued by director general school education Vijay Kiran Anand to district inspectors of schools and district basic education officers, the campaign will focus on the availability of basic infrastructure — drinking water, functional toilets — besides the implementation of academic programmes, distribution of PM Poshan (mid-day meal) and other essential facilities.
Punctuality of teachers, enrolment of students and distribution of textbooks and stationery will also be under the scanner. Post inspection, reports will be submitted on the Prerna portal by the district education department.
“Now that schools have reopened after summer vacation, there will be regular inspections to ensure students are getting mid-day meals and other basic amenities,” Noida Basic Siksha Adhikari Aishwariya Lakshmi said.
Noida has 556 government primary and upper primary schools. The BSA said feedback will be taken from students on the quality of teaching and academic support during the inspection that will continue till July 31.
