5 IPS officers, 8 DSPs shifted; Vaibhav is new Naugachia SP
Patna: The home department on Wednesday transferred five senior IPS officers and eight DSP-level officials, and assigned additional charges to strengthen law and order, security and policing in the state. The IPS transfer included ADG, DIG and SP-rank officials.
Sanjay Singh, a 1997-batch IPS officer, has been posted as additional director general (security). He will also hold additional charge of ADG (budget, appeal & welfare).
Aditya Kumar, a 2011-batch officer, earlier posted in the crime investigation department (CID), is now commandant, Bihar Special Armed Police-14, Patna. He will also hold additional charge as superintendent, CID-3. Anand Kumar, DIG and a 2012-batch IPS officer, has been made DIG (security). He will continue to hold additional charge of DIG (law and order).
A 2016-batch officer, Rajesh Kumar, has been shifted from SP, Naugachia, to SP cyber research & operations, Economic Offences Unit (EOU), Patna. Vaibhav Sharma, a 2018-batch officer and previously holding charge of SP, cyber research & operations, EOU, has been posted as the new SP of Naugachia.
Gaurav Kumar, earlier posted in Patna City, has now been made DSP of Purnia Sadar. Anupesh Narayan, earlier cyber crime DSP, Banka, has now been made SDPO of Nirmali sub-division in Supaul. Vikas Kumar has been shifted from CID to DSP, Special Task Force (STF), Patna.
Gopal Krishna, earlier DSP, Jehanabad, has now been made SDPO of Mohania in Kaimur district. Kaushal Kishore Kamal was removed from DSP (traffic), Purnia, and posted to CID, Patna.
Ranjan Kumar Singh was shifted from CID, Patna, to DSP Traffic, Purnia. Suresh Prasad Ram was transferred from EOU to DSP, Special Vigilance Unit (SVU), Patna, and Krishna Kumar Gupta has been shifted from CID, Patna, to DSP of SVU, Patna.
