Bihar celebrates rise of Nitin to BJP’s top post
Patna: BJP karyakartas on Tuesday celebrated the rise of Nitin Nabin to the top position in the party.
The party workers burst firecrackers at the Patna office and key intersections and distributed sweets on the occasion. Nitin’s ancestral village Amawa under Rajauli block in Nawada district also erupted in celebrations.
Former deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad gave credit of his rise to Nitin’s “sahajta, samarpan, saralta aur sahajta (ease, dedication, simplicity and spontaneity) to deal with party workers”.
Digha MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia defined him as “a very good listener, a man of immense perseverance, immaculate organisational planning of any event.”
Nitin’s wife Deepmala Srivastava told reporters that he came home in the middle of the ‘karyakarta samman samaroh’ on Dec 14 and told her to watch TV as some news was to break. And the news pleasantly surprised her. Deepmala believes his commitment and dedication to deliver took him to this height.
Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said the BJP has sent a clear message by entrusting the reins of the organisation to a young face, demonstrating the party’s complete faith in the capabilities and energy of young leadership.
BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi said Nitin’s youthful leadership will strengthen the party.
BJP ally and JD(U) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha said Nitin has discharged his responsibilities with complete dedication, honesty, and efficiency, both as a minister and as an MLA. “As an energetic young leader, his simple, unassuming, and hard working political life has been highly commendable,” he said.
LJP (RV) chief and Union minister Chirag Paswan and HAM(S) national president and minister Santosh Kumar Suman also congratulated Nitin on his becoming the BJP president.
In Bankipore assembly constituency, people said it was a momentous occasion for people of Bihar.
“Nitin’s elevation to the top post is being hailed as a testament to his dedication and hard work. We are thrilled to see his rise,” said Rajeshwar Sinha, a resident of Lohanipur in Patna, where Nabin spent his childhood days.
“Nitin’s appointment is a reflection of his capabilities and the trust the party has in him,” said Roshan Kumar, a resident of Bandar Bagicha near Dak Bungalow crossing.
Vikram Kumar of Boring Road said, “It is a matter of pride that the youth are getting a chance at top positions in political parties. All the parties should provide a chance to youth, as they are more energetic and work more efficiently than the elders.”
