BJP president Dr Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal on Tuesday said the party had grown and spread in the country, including Bihar, due to the untiring efforts of its workers.
Like a banyan tree, BJP has not only taken deep roots, but also expanded to become the largest party in the world, Dr Jaiswal also said in his address to the main function held at the state BJP headquarters here to celebrate the party’s 41st foundation day.
Earlier, he had hoisted the party flag and then addressed the main function, where other notable speakers included deputy chief ministers Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi, Rajya Sabha member Sushil Kumar Modi, ministers Mangal Pandey, Amarendra Pratap Singh, Janak Ram and Jiwesh Mishra, among the other party functionaries.
The functions were also held at the party’s district headquarters, as well as at the polling booths across the state, where also the party flag was hoisted and others programmes were organised.

Narendra Modi has been implementing policies aimed at benefiting the poor and the needy in sync with the vision of Antyodaya programme that former party president Deendayal Upadhyaya had envisioned.
