PATNA: Senior BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav has filed his nomination for the position of Bihar assembly speaker, as confirmed by the Vidhan Sabha secretariat.
In the presence of chief minister Nitish Kumar, deputy CMs Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with other senior leaders, Yadav submitted his nomination papers. The vacancy arose after the removal of Awadh Bihari Chaudhary from the post following a no-confidence motion on Monday.
Voting for the election will take place on Thursday, according to the Vidhan Sabha secretariat.
