Body of youth found in agriculture field in Gopalganj

Patna: One Ansar Ali (22) was found dead in a mustard field in Ekderwa Balua Tola village under the Town police station area in Gopalganj district on Sunday. The family members of the deceased alleged that he was killed by the neighbours over a dispute.Ansar, son of Manzoor Ali, was a resident of Ekderwa Balua Tola village.Town SHO, Om Prakash Chauhan, said: "The body was recovered from an agricultural field. An autopsy was conducted at the sadar hospital, and the body was handed over to the family. The family accused the neighbour of committing the crime. Prima facie it appears that the youth was strangled to death, as no injury marks were found on his body except the neck. The case is under investigation. A written complaint has not been filed yet."Manzoor Ali alleged that his son was killed by their neighbours, who were involved in a dispute with them. He alleged that the neighbours threw a cellphone on their rooftop a week ago, which Ansar saw. This led to a quarrel, and Ansar slapped one of the accused young neighbours, who allegedly threw the cellphone on their roof."Manzoor suspects that the accused threw the cellphone for his daughter. A young neighbour wanted to make friendship with the sister of Ansar, leading to the dispute between the two families. He claimed that the accused killed Ansar and dumped his body in the mustard field to take revenge. The investigation and actions will proceed after receiving a complaint in this regard," the SHO added.
