: Now, the state will have a live tracking system to locate public transport vehicles and help the passengers in emergency situation as state transport minister

on Tuesday launched a command and control centre set up at the department’s headquarters for real-time monitoring of private cabs and buses.
The minister said the vehicle location tracking (VLT) device and panic (emergency) buttons have been made mandatory from August 1 in all public transport in Bihar for the safety of passengers, especially women. “Live monitoring of public transport vehicles will be done through the command and control centre. This will be a very important step for women’s safety, if needed,” Sheela said.
