DARBHANGA: All people living in India are Hindu because everyone is a son or daughter of Bharat Mata, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said here on Monday, repeating a remark he had made before.
“Hinduism unites all,” he said at RSS’ “nagar ekatrikaran” programme at Dr Nagendra Jha stadium. “Religion teaches one to perform his or her duties and behave well.”
Bhagwat had made the same statement in Meghalaya’s Shillong and Chhattisgarh’s Surguja district, where he said everyone in the country are Hindu irrespective of their faith because all Indians share the same DNA.
The RSS chief also indirectly praised the Narendra Modi government, saying: “The prestige of the country has increased manifold in foreign nations where people from Indian origin hold their heads high these days. All should respect the diversity of this country and strive for unity in diversity.”
Bhagwat said RSS is a transparent organisation. “RSS workers spend an hour each day to discuss issues related to the country.”
