Ex-mukhiya killed in Jamui bomb blast

: One person was killed in a pre-panchayat poll violence in Jamui district on Saturday.Jamui district magistrate-cum-district returning officer Dr Kaushal Kishore said former mukhiya Arjun Yadav was killed when two motorcycle-borne criminals hurled bombs at him when he was coming out of the chamber of the returning officer (RO) at Chakai where his wife Kaushalya, a mukhiya aspirant, filed her nomination papers around 2pm. The victim was a resident of Kalyanpur under Chandramandi police station, about 70 km from the district headquarters.
Police said the injured PACS chairperson was rushed to a Deoghar hospital where the doctors pronounced him brought dead.
