Global energy crisis behind fuel price rise: Dy CM

Patna: Bihar deputy CM Vijay Kumar Chaudhary on Monday said the recent increase in petrol and diesel prices was largely driven by the ongoing conflict in the Gulf region and the resulting global energy crisis.

Speaking to reporters, Choudhary said the Centre was making continuous efforts to keep fuel prices under control compared to many other countries facing similar challenges.



He said the govt was also focusing on reducing fuel consumption so that the burden on common people remained minimal despite pressure from international markets.

According to Choudhary, India had managed the situation better than several nations through balanced economic measures and policy interventions.

He said despite global challenges such as inflation and the energy crisis, the govt was continuously working to stabilise prices through effective economic policies and strategic management measures.
