The college administration is also planning to set up a garden around ‘Gandhi koop’, a well, where Mahatma Gandhi used to take bath during his stay here nearly a century ago. Giving the information, college principal OP Rai said, “The show will be of one hour. We will make elaborate arrangements to make this occasion a great success.”
Rai added that all necessary arrangements for holding the laser show will be completed next month. “Mahatma Gandhi’s activity during his stay here in 1917 will be recreated through the show,” he added.
He said stories of Bapu’s visit to Muzaffarpur during Champaran Satyagraha will be projected during this light, sound and laser show. “As of now, the show is slated to be held only on January 30. But, we are planning to organise it everyday and arrangements are being done accordingly. We are consulting the best laser show organisers in the country,” added the principal.
As per official sources, laser show will be open for common public. Engineers are working day and night to make it attractive. Recently, chief minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated Mahatma Gandhi’s statue through remote on October 2 this year on the occasion of Gandhi’s 149th birth anniversary.
