NDA govt in Bihar is working for the welfare of youth ever since it came into power in Nov 2005: Nitish to PM Modi
PATNA: CM Nitish Kumar on Saturday told PM Narendra Modi that the NDA govt in Bihar was working for the welfare of youth ever since it came into power in November 2005.
Addressing the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh in virtual mode in the presence of the PM, Nitish said, "I want to inform you that from the very beginning in 2005, several works were done for education, skill development, and employment for youth in Bihar."
Recalling the works undertaken under the 'Saat Nishchay' programme, Nitish said that popular schemes like the Bihar Student Credit Card, the Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Scheme, and the Kushal Yuva Programme were launched for youth in 2015. These schemes are now being expanded.
"In 2020, under Saat Nischay-2, it was decided to provide 10 lakh jobs and 10 lakh employment to youth, and till now 10 lakh jobs and 40 lakh employment have been provided. In total, 50 lakh youth were given jobs and employment, and now we have decided that in the next 5 years, 1 crore youth will be provided jobs and employment between 2025 and 2030," Nitish told the PM.
Nitish further said that recently, the Union govt approved 19 new Kendriya Vidyalayas in Bihar. It will greatly benefit the youth of Bihar. "For all this, I bow from my heart to the Prime Minister," he said.
The CM further iterated that the previous government (of Congress and the RJD) did not do any work in the state before 2005. The situation was very bad earlier. "When the NDA government was formed on November 24, 2005, since then we have been engaged in the development of Bihar and there is rule of law in the state. Development is happening rapidly in all sectors, whether it is education, health, roads, electricity, work is happening in all sectors. Full cooperation of the central government is being received in the development of Bihar. More work will happen in Bihar in future and Bihar will make a significant contribution to the country's progress. Finally, I once again congratulate PM Narendra Modi ji in this programme and thank him for launching a series of projects for Bihar," Nitish said.
During the programme, the youth of Bihar shared their experiences before the PM and the CM. Kumari Ranjana, a resident of Patna, who graduated in Geology from AN College and is a beneficiary of the Mukhyamantri Nischay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Scheme, and Atul Raj, a resident of Vaishali district, who graduated from Science College Patna, both shared their experiences and thanked the PM and the CM for providing assistance for the preparation of further examinations and shaping their future.
Also, Anju Kumari, a resident of New Bahadurpur, Patna, and Sakib Ahmad, a resident of Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Saharsa district, are benefiting from the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. These people shared their experiences and thanked the PM and the CM, saying that they could not have pursued higher education due to financial difficulties if they had not received the support of the CM.
