PATNA: Shipra of mathematics department was crowned Miss
Altogether 96 contestants participated in the event.
DAV-BSEB: A three-day DAV National Sports Zonal Meet, hosted by DAV Public School-BSEB, began at BMP-5 ground on Saturday.
In the boys’ category of the 800m race, Ahuti Ranjan of DAV-Danapur Cantt bagged the first prize, Vijay Kumar (DAV-Samastipur) stood second and Nazre Alam (DAV-Maharajganj) got the third position. In the girls’ category, Vijaya (DAV-Gaya) emerged as the winner while Sushmita (DAV-Darbhanga) and Neha (DAV-Samastipur) stood second and third, respectively.
In the 100m race (boys’ category), the winner was Rakesh Kumar of DAV-Maharajganj while Honey Singh and Sagar Raj, both from DAV-Gaya, stood second and third, respectively. In the girls’ category, Akansha (DAV-Jehanabad), Saloni Kumari (DAV-Samastipur) and Muskan (DAV-Gaya) stood first, second and third, respectively.
Tribhuvan School: Students from different city schools took part in an ‘Oratory Conclave: An Interschool Debate and Recitation Competition’ organized at the Tribhuvan School on Saturday.
While International school student Talba Reyaz emerged as the winner of the recitation competition, the second and third prizes were bagged by Faham Rahman of Notre Dame Academy and Seetal Kumari of St Karen’s Secondary School, respectively.
Maryam Raza Khan of Notre Dame Academy was declared the winner of the debate contest. Aaditri Vaibhav of The Tribhuvan School stood second and Navratra of Carmel High School bagged the third prize. The topic of debate was ‘Can Money Buy Happiness?’
Trinity Global School: The House Championship Trophy was bagged by ‘Heroen House’ at the second edition of ‘Urja: The Sporting Spirit’ organized by Trinity Global School on Saturday.
The programme started with a march past and was followed by an oath-taking ceremony. Students participated in sports like cricket, basketball, football, volleyball, lawn tennis, table-tennis, roller skating, archery and swimming. Students of classes I to II took part in spoon and marble race, sack race and hurdles while tiny tots participated in competitions like bursting balloons, treasure hunt and balancing
