Youth dies in Nalanda road accident
Biharsharif: A 22-year-old youth died after a speeding car rammed into his motorcycle near Bhenda village in Nalanda district on Monday. The impact of the collision was so severe that the bike was completely damaged.
The victim, identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Devendra Kewat, and a resident of Khalsa village under Bind area, was on his way to his in-laws’ house when the accident took place.
On receiving information, a police team led by Rahui SHO Lalit Vijay rushed to the spot. With the help of local residents, the injured youth was taken to the primary health centre, where doctors declared him dead. Police later sent the body to the model hospital for postmortem.
Family members said Ravi was the youngest among four brothers. He is survived by his wife and two-year-old son.
Police said the driver of the car fled after abandoning the vehicle. The damaged motorcycle and the car have been seized, while efforts are on to trace the absconding driver, added the police.
