Centac invites fresh application under 10% govt quota for medical, dental, ayurveda courses in Puducherry
PUDUCHERRY: The Centralized Admission Committee (Centac) has invited fresh online applications for admission under the newly introduced 10% reservation for government school students (who have cleared National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) in MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS courses in government and self-financing colleges in Puducherry in the academic year 2023-24. The online submission of applications closes on September 8 (10am), said a release from the committee.
After submitting fresh applications online, the candidates must submit their willingness for availing government school 10% reservation (in their login dashboard).
Candidates, who have studied in government schools and have already submitted Centac undergraduate NEET applications, need not submit fresh applications again. But they must submit willingness for availing 10% government school reservation along with transfer certificate/ study certificate with the particulars of schools they studied from Class I to XII issued by the principal of the school they last studied.
The candidates must ensure that they enter all India counselling rank against NEET rank while filling the application forms.
The Union government on Monday gave its approval for the Puducherry government's proposal to extend 10% horizontal reservation for government school students, who clear NEET, in admission to medical, dental and ayurvedic courses.
