Crossover band led by Puducherry Carnatic singer bags inter-continental music award

PUDUCHERRY: TranSwaras, a crossover band led by Carnatic singer P V Bose of Puducherry, won the 2024 inter-continental music award under the Carnatic music genre in the Best of Asia category for its tribute to the composition ‘Ganesha Kumara Pahimam’ by Muthuswamy Dikshitar, one among the trinity of Carnatic music.

The song is an ode to the Elephant God Ganesha.

The 2024 inter-continental music awards showcased outstanding global talent across a spectrum of genres and artists.

This year’s awards ceremony celebrated the finest in international music, spanning from pop to hip-hop, classical to folk.

The winners exemplified the pinnacle of global musical excellence.
