said on Sunday. Batches of the vaccine will be flown to destinations across the nation from the Lohegaon airport.

“We will allot four police vans. Each van will have four personnel. It will avert any following of the SII vehicles and interception by other vehicles on the roads. Some policemen will be armed. A total of sixteen men will escort the SII vehicles,” he said.

No schedule for the movement of the vehicles from the SII has been received as yet, he added. “However, we want to avert any untoward incident around SII and during the transportation of the vaccine. We will add to the security at the entrance gates. Eight of our men will guard these gates,” he said. TNN
