IAS officer Puja Khedkar's mother Manorama caught 'threatening' metro workers in new video

PUNE: Manorama Khedkar, the mother of controversial IAS officer Puja Khedkar, has made headlines again after another video surfaced showing her threatening metro workers.

The 2022 video purportedly shows Manorama aggressively arguing with metro construction workers in Pune city.


"She demanded that we stop the work and instructed us to proceed according to her directions... Then we called the police," an eyewitness told news channel Times Now.

Previously, Manorama was accused of misusing a licensed gun during a heated argument with a farmer on July 13.

On Monday, separate police teams continued their search for Manorama and her husband Dilip. The couple is among seven people booked by the rural Pune police in a case involving rioting, threatening, and Arms Act violations.

The police had registered the case on Friday night after a video emerged showing Manorama, accompanied by private bouncers, brandishing a .25 Webley & Scott pistol on June 5, 2023, during a dispute with farmers over land ownership in Dhadawali village, Mulshi tehsil. One of the farmers lodged a complaint regarding the incident.

Pune police commissioner Amitesh Kumar said, “We have given 10 days to the licence-holder [Manorama] to submit a written reply. If we do not receive any reply, we will cancel the firearm licence issued in 2000.”
