The event titled ‘One Sky’ aims at creating a mélange of the three distinct mediums of art. It has been curated by the Times Pune smART Week to provide the audience with a sublime experience where art transcends boundaries.

Prem Joshua and Band will take the centre stage alongside Bodhi Kranti, who will dance against a mandala backdrop. Zen Vartan will join the two on the other side as he paints on an 8x8 canvas live on stage. Vartan has shared that his painting will be a tribute to the martyrs of the Pulwama attacks. The trio also plans to have a three-minute OM humming meditation session to pay homage to the Pulwama victims.

Prem Joshua & Band are the pioneers of crossover sound that is nestled at the cusp of eastern tradition and western innovation. Bodhi Kranti, a belly dancer from

Mexico

, is well-known across the country as a clinical psychologist, healer as well as meditation and yoga guide. Artist Zen Vartan seamlessly integrates spirituality with the media and surface.

Further, the

Bombay Art Society

and

Lalit Kala Akademi

would jointly organize Pratibimb — a portrait symposium that would not only showcase portraits by various portrait artists, but also provide a platform to artists to create live portraits.

Meanwhile, a musical wall was unveiled by music composer and singer Kaushal Inamdar at

Fergusson College

Road on Sunday. The wall is a mix of music and sound of different instruments, where residents can create their own music.

Prashant Damle proved his supremacy on the stage yet again through his well-timed humour and acting skills in the play ‘Eka Lagnachi Pudhchi Gosht’, a sequel to the classic comedy drama ‘Eka Lagnachi Goshta’, starring Marathi film and TV personalities Damle and Kavita Lad Medhekar. The play was presented to a full house at the Balgandharva Rangmandir on Sunday evening.

Two art exhibitions — a tribute to Raja Ravi Varma and Pratibimb — were organized for art enthusiasts with rare paintings and portraits on display. Pratibimb, a portrait symposium, was inaugurated by the chairman of the Lalit Kala Academy Uttam Pacharne, followed by a demonstration by Aditya Shirke. It was jointly organized by the Bombay Art Society and Lalit Kala Akademi.
