PUNE: Miss World 2023 winner, Karolina Bielawska, visited a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) facilitated by Finolex Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation at Sassoon General Hospital today.
Alongside Karolina, Miss India 2023 winner Sini Shetty, Chairperson of the Miss World Organization Julia Morley, Founder of PME Entertainment Salman Ahmed, and singer Hadis Ahmed observed the healthcare facilities provided at Sassoon General Hospital and also appreciated the contributions of Ritu Chhabria and Mukul Madhav Foundation.
Director of medical education & research Dr Ajay Chandanwale, Dean of Sassoon General Hospital, Dr Sanjiv Thakur, head of the pediatric department, Dr Arati Kinikar, Dr Sameer Pawar, head of NICU, Mukul Madhav Foundation's representative Jitendra Jadhav, and Yogesh Rokade welcomed the delegation.
Dr Thakur briefed them about the medical facilities and advancements at Sassoon General Hospital. He also informed them that Mukul Madhav Foundation and like-minded non-governmental organizations have upgraded various departments such as NICU, Dental, Endoscopy, and Liver Transplant, among others.
Karolina Bielawska said, “It’s my first time in India, and here we are treated very warmly, lovingly, and nicely. I was very happy to see the health facilities here. All doctors, nurses, and staff are very polite, and their caring for patients has been wonderful. The service provided to the poor and needy patients of the society is commendable. I am very grateful that I am able to see it. We will do our best to support it. I want to say thanks from the bottom of my heart to all healthcare workers across the nation because without you, we would never be here. You all are doing such an incredible and difficult job. I thank you again for serving society and the nation," she added.
Julia Morley appreciated the work of Mukul Madhav Foundation and said, "We have an immense record for the foundation. It's our duty and honor to be associated with the cause, and we hope that by investing money, we will do our best. Ritu Chhabria and her team have done a good job saving the babies. So, we have to work together and give our best to society."
Sini Shetty said, "I am very grateful to witness this. Under Ritu Chhabria's visionary leadership, Mukul Madhav Foundation has done a lot of work at Sassoon General Hospital. Doctors, nurses, and all staff are putting in efforts to make this a better place. The foundation has not only upgraded the health departments but also facilitated a clean and hygienic waiting area for the relatives."
On this prestigious visit, Ritu Prakash Chhabria, Managing Trustee of Mukul Madhav Foundation, said, "We are happy and proud to welcome international women of influence to the NICU at Sassoon General Hospital to witness the monumental change that has been created due to the collaboration of other like-minded partners who joined this initiative.
