According to the Market Yard police, the complainant Satveer Goel had placed an order of oil boxes with a firm in Ambala, Haryana for which he had electronically transferred money. “The firm had assured him that the boxes of oil would be delivered to his shop in market Yard within a day. However, despite repeated reminders, the boxes were not delivered to him,” assistant inspector Madan Kamble said.

The victim was sent a bill of 2,200 boxes and asked to pay for receiving 1,100 boxes of Palmolive oil. Goel refused to pay money saying that he had placed an order for edible oil.
