Chhattisgarh won the toss and elected to bat first in the Ranji Trophy match against Goa. Openers A. G. Tiwary and Shashank Chandrakar scored 86 and 101 respectively, laying the foundation for the hosts' 531 for nine in 155 overs victory. Captain Harpreet Singh Bhatia was out bowled out by Lakshay Garg on 96 from 164 balls, and wicketkeeper batsman MS. S. Hussain contributed 40 off 71.
