Announce results in 15 days: HC on pending SI recruitment case
Raipur: Hoping that the long-due employment opportunities be provided before the festival season, the Chhattisgarh high court, in a recent order, granted the state govt additional time to comply with a previous directive issued on 20 May 2024 regarding the SI recruitment. The extension was sought through a Miscellaneous Civil Case (MCC) filed by the govt, requesting more time for compliance.A single bench of Justice N.K. Vyas of the high court has ordered the state govt to release the results for 975 posts soon. The high court bench has directed that the results of the SI recruitment exam be announced within the next 15 days.During the hearing, the additional advocate general, representing the state, informed the court that the order could be complied with within 10 days. In light of this submission, the court granted a further 15-day extension for the compliance of the earlier order. The court expressed hope that the matter would be resolved before Diwali, emphasising that employment opportunities for aspirants should be provided before the festival season. With this direction, the miscellaneous civil case has been disposed of.The compliance of this order is eagerly anticipated, as it concerns employment opportunities, and the court's extension aims to ensure that individuals can secure their jobs ahead of the upcoming celebrations. To recall, in Oct 2021, the state govt issued an advertisement for 975 posts. However, due to the delay in announcing the results, the candidates staged multiple protests. Following the high court's directive, there is now renewed and new hope that the candidates' issues will be resolved soon.
