RAIPUR: Amidst a dramatic turn of events in the Maharashtra government as Ajit Pawar moved to split the Nationalist Congress Party and took oath as deputy chief minister on Sunday, Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said that earlier it was a double-engine government and now it’s triple, “as if they are not running a government and Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government is now a three-wheeler like an auto-rickshaw”.

“Maharashtra is witnessing continuous commotion in its politics. Earlier, they engineered splits first in Shiv Sena and now in NCP. It was a double-engine government and now a triple-engine, as if it’s not a government but a three-wheeler auto-rickshaw,” Baghel remarked.

Chief ministers said, “I saw the oath-taking ceremony where on one side Devendra Fadnavis and Sharad Pawar ji sitting together were smiling while on the other side chief minister Eknath Shinde looked disappointed. This development of the events is indicating further unfolding of upcoming events. It shows that there will be more changes. Sharad Pawar ji is yet to open his cards. It’s clear there will be more political upheaval in the future, though the common people don’t like such a turn of events. The impact of it will be seen in future”.
