Two held for 36 thefts across three districts

RAJKOT: Two persons arrested on Tuesday in connection with a theft at a shop in Khambahliya town of Devbhoomi Dwarka, have confessed to 36 thefts in different districts like Rajkot and Jamangar, said police.


The local crime branch arrested Siddique Salim Rakotia and Mohammad Usman Memon from Kalavad corner in Jamnagar on Tuesday.

Police said last month the duo had stolen Rs 1.5 lakh cash from cash box of Kusum Enterprise by distracting the owner. The accused were identified by the CCTV footage from the shop, police added.
