Birsa Munda statue unveiled at city airport

Ranchi: Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto unveiled a statue of tribal revolutionary Birsa Munda at Ranchi's Birsa Munda International Airport on Friday.Rajya Sabha MPs Deepak Prakash, Mahua Maji, Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, Coal India Limited chairman P M Prasad and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) chairman-cum-managing director B Veera Reddy were present on the occasion.In a statement, CCL said the statue, made of iron, was commissioned on the airport premises under its corporate social responsibility initiative. The statue was built by a local artist, the central PSU said.
