RANCHI: A total of 89.7% students passed in the Class XII board examination of Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE), the result of which was announced on Friday. The girls outperformed the boys with a pass percentage of 92.94 % while 87.45 % of boys passed in the Class XII examination. In all, 36746 students from Jharkhand passed in the examination including 21023 boys and 15723 girls, out of 40956 students from the state appearing in the examination.

In Class X board examination, 94.4% students passed the examination. Girls outshined boys with 95.3% while 93.9% of boys passed. This year, a total of 66761 students appeared in Class X board exam in which the number of girl candidates were 26678 and boys 40083.



Pavni Kumar of Delhi Public School, Ranchi became the state topper with 99. 4% in the Class X board examination, followed by Harshit Aggarwal from Gumla with 99.2%. While, Abhinav Chandrayan and Prasun Pravar of Ranchi bagged the third place at state level with 99 % marks.

In Class XII finals, Alex Singh of Delhi Public School Ranchi and Adarash Kumar Singh of DPS Dhanbad bagged the top position in state in the science stream by scoring 98.4 %. While Archie Meharia of Dhanbad and Ritwika Khaitan of Sarala Birla School Ranchi secured top position in commerce stream with 98.6 %. Jas Simran Kaur of Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali secured the top place in arts by scoring 97.8%.

Pavni Kumar, the topper of the state had never took coaching for the preparation. She said, "There is no need to rely on a coaching center in order to achieve a better outcome. By maintaining a consistent number of study hours and focusing on our curriculum, we can reach our goal. In the final stages of preparation for the board exams, we must concentrate on completing numerous exam sample questions and studying with the aid of NCERT textbooks in order to achieve high scores. Preparation requires consistency, and regular study is necessary for achieving success on the examination. Moreover, it boosts confidence."

The CBSE Class X exams were conducted from February 15 and continued till March 21 while Class XII exams were conducted from February 15 till April 5. The evaluation procedure began one week after the beginning of the examination and lasted until April. This year, the board has modified its method to ensure error-free evaluation of papers.
