Celebrations peaceful in Bokaro

Bokaro: The city witnessed a peaceful Bakrid celebration as people came together with enthusiasm to commemorate the occasion on Thursday. Mosques were filled with faithfuls offering prayers, exchanging pleasantries, and embracing one another. Following the prayers, members of the Muslim community proceeded with the tradition of sacrificing animals. To ensure the maintenance of law and order, magistrates and police officers were deployed in sensitive areas and mosques across the city and rural regions. The police administration, led by deputy commissioner Kuldeep Chowdhary and SP Chandan Jha, remained vigilant throughout the day, with officers actively monitoring the situation, even in plain clothes.
