City celebrates Holi with vibrant festivities and cultural unity
Ranchi: The capital city witnessed grand and colourful Holi celebrations as people from diverse communities united to celebrate the festival of colours with enthusiasm and joy. Various cultural and social groups organized processions, music, dance, and community gatherings across the city.CM Hemant Soren extended his heartiest greetings to the state's residents, wishing them health, happiness, and prosperity. He also conveyed his best wishes for Baha Parv, the tribal communities' nature festival, stating, "May this festival of colours bring joy and prosperity to everyone's life. Johar to all of you."The Bahawalpuri Punjabi Samaj organized a Holi procession in Krishna Nagar Colony, Ratu Road. Beginning at Gurudwara Mandir Chowk, people of all ages participated in applying gulal, dancing, and singing traditional Holi songs. They also visited newly married couples' homes and families with newborns, adding a unique cultural touch.JCI Ranchi celebrated with a Holi Milan event at The Vatika, Kanke Road, featuring a foam party, rain dance, water pool, and a dedicated kids' zone. The organization promoted eco-friendly celebrations by using herbal colours.DIG-cum-senior superintendent of police Chandan Kumar Sinha celebrated with his subordinate staff at his residential complex. Several administrative officers and their families joined the festivities.The celebrations took on a community-centric approach as families visited each other's homes, sharing sweets and engaging in joyful activities. "I love Holi, it's a time to forget all worries and just enjoy with friends and family," said Ramesh Kumar, a Kanke resident.Priya Verma from Lalpur said, "Holi is a symbol of victory of good over evil. It's a time to renew our commitment to goodness and positivity."
