NEW DELHI: An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 struck parts of Jharkhand on Saturday morning, an official reported.
The quake occurred around 9.20 am with its epicenter in Khunti district, approximately 35 km from Ranchi, according to senior meteorologist Upendra Shrivastava.
The National Center for Seismology noted that the earthquake had a depth of five kilometers. Shrivastava stated, "The impact was minor." There were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage.
Tremors were also felt in Jamshedpur and Kandra in Seraikela-Kharswan district.
