FJCCI suggests CM 25-acre land pool in each district for MSMEs
Ranchi: A delegation of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (
In a statement issued after the meeting, FJCCI, the umbrella organisation of traders and entrepreneurs of Jharkhand, said it also urged Soren to consider setting up a land bank of 25 acre in each district in order to promote new micro, small and medium enterprises. The delegation also suggested the government to consider setting up a textile park in Santhal Pargana to draw more investments to the apparel sector.
The FJCCI delegation, which met Soren at his office in the Project Building, urged the CM to consider preparing a road map for the revival of the 600 industrial units in the state, which have shut down after running into losses. Soren holds the industry portfolio in the state cabinet.
“The CM was also apprised that the government departments are not following the state procurement policy clauses, which in turn is causing problems for the MSMEs,” FJCCI president Praveen Jain Chabra said after the meeting. The delegation also flagged the problems being faced by the nearly 107 start-ups as the state innovation lab continues to be a non-starter.
FJCCI also suggested Soren to bring in a private power distribution company in order to provide quality power to industrial units. A statement issued by Soren’s office said, “The CM has assured the FJCCI delegation to address their concerns at the earliest.”
