Hazaribag Deputy commissioner holds salaries of four babus

HAZARIBAG: Deputy commissioner

has written to the

district treasury officer

to

withhold the salaries

of four top officials for their alleged failure to comply with the instructions of

chief minister's special secretary

, Sunil Kumar Barnwal.

The orders were issued against deputy development commissioner Rajesh Pathak, district supply officer Bhogendra Thakur, district superintendent of education Indu Bhushan Singh and Katkumdag block development officer Dharmendra Kumar.

Barnwal ordered them to look into the complaints of people lodged during the 'Jan Sanvad: Sidhi Baat' programmes in Ranchi, in which the chief minister participated. Sources said that as many as 380 complaints were made about irregular practices of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), including non-supply of rations among others.
