Immersion in Ranchi amid heavy security

Ranchi: The immersion of Durga idols took place on Thursday amid heavy security arrangements. Magistrates and police teams escorted the ‘Shobha Yatras’ (immersion processions) even as forces were deployed at the sensitive places.SP (City) Anshuman Kumar said, “Apart from the district police, companies of Rapid Action Police and Rapid Action Force along with CRPF women battalion have been deployed in the city for the rituals, which would continue on Friday as well. Around 80 puja committees have said that they would not immerse the idols on Thursday.” Sanjay Sahay
