Rally in H’bag to protest persecution of Hindus in B’desh

Hazaribag: Nearly 10,000 followers of Sanatan Dharma, led by RSS, staged a massive peace rally through Hazaribag town, protesting against the alleged persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. The demonstration prompted local shopkeepers to shut down their establishments.The rally, which culminated at Hazaribag stadium, saw participation from various religious communities, including Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Sanatan Dharma followers. Protesters demanded strong action from the Indian govt against the recent incidents of temple vandalism, idol desecration, and attacks on Hindu communities in Bangladesh.Demonstrators urged the current Yunus administration to ensure the protection of Hindu minorities who have been long-term residents of Bangladesh.Prominent speakers at the rally included social activist T Shukla, former president of Hazaribag unit of Ram Navami Mahasamiti, Amarjit Yadav, and educationist Surjit Singh. Local MLAs Manoj Yadav (Barhi) and Pradip Prasad (Hazaribag) also addressed the gathering.The protesters warned of intensified agitation if the Indian govt fails to address the issue diplomatically. They also called for immediate measures to identify and deport illegal Bangladeshi immigrants from India and Jharkhand, along with a suspension of aid to Bangladesh.A delegation of RSS and Sanatan Dharm followers later submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay, addressed to President Draupadi Murmu, bearing signatures of over five hundred local supporters.
