Ranchi university to mark the day with painting competition

Ranchi: Ranchi University’s fine arts department will hold a state-level painting exhibition and an award ceremony in collaboration with the mass communication department to mark the International Day for the World’s Indigenous Peoples on August 9. The three-day event, aimed at promoting and recognizing the art of Jharkhand, will commence on August 7. Sujit Sen Gupta, the president of the mass communication department students’ union, said participants interested in showcasing their art works can submit their applications by August 6. For further information and inquiries, individuals can visit the fine arts department, he added.Sen said, “The exhibition aims to attract participants to foster appreciation for art.”
