The advocates association, Jharkhand high court secretary Navin Kumar filed the public interest litigation exposing the deteriorating condition of the capital in various aspects.
The association mentioned that the capital once used to be a much sought-after place, which has now come under the clutches of increasing criminal activities.
The social fabric of the capital has also been disturbed, as have utility services, which ought to have been taken care of by the govt, but have collapsed. Facilities in terms of roads, supply of drinking water, electricity, and other amenities for the citizens of the city are lacking.
Kumar mentioned that the planning of the smart city by the govt has still not been completed.
The city has expanded, but civic facilities have not been extended by the govt, which has made living in the capital very difficult, Kumar added.
