State Youth Cong holds ‘Halla Bol’ in Dhanbad over exam paper leaks
Dhanbad: The State Youth Congress on Monday organised a ‘Halla Bol’ in Dhanbad against repeated cases of competitive examination paper leak, demanding the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Raising slogans against the Union govt, party workers marched from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, to the Randhir Verma Chowk via the Police Centre area.
A large number of Youth Congress workers and supporters joined the rally, alleging that repeated examination irregularities had shattered the confidence of students and job aspirants nationwide.
Carrying banners and placards, the demonstrators accused the Centre of failing to ensure transparency and fairness in recruitment and entrance examinations, and demanded strict measures to prevent future paper leaks.
Addressing a gathering at the Randhir Verma Chowk, Youth Congress state president Kumar Gaurav said, “Repeated incidents of paper leaks are severely affecting the future of lakhs of youths in the country. The credibility of competitive examinations is being questioned, leading to frustration and anger among students preparing for govt jobs and higher education opportunities.”
“The Central govt has failed to safeguard the interests of the youth. It did not take effective action to curb examination-related malpractices,” he added while demanding “stringent laws and accountability to prevent leaks and restore faith in the examination system”.
The protesters warned of intensified agitation if the govt did not take concrete steps to address the issues raised by students and unemployed youths.
