candidate and two of his supporters were arrested by police and charged with sedition for shouting pro-Pakistan slogans in their election march.

and two of his supporters were picked up, based on a viral video in which supporters were shouting: “Pakistan zindabad” after the nomination filing process got over.
“Police have arrested three persons, including Mohammad Shakir Hussain and his supporters Asif and Sohaib, on charges of spreading hatred in the society, sedition as per section 124-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), unlawful assembly and violating the model code of conduct,” Gandey area’s sub-divisional police officer (SDPO)
