Truck rams into Tandwa school boundary wall

Chatra: A truck rammed into govt upgraded high school located at Saradhu village in Tandwa industrial town on Tuesday around 4am. The school gate, boundary wall, high mast light, and many electric poles were damaged under the impact, Tandwa police said. School authorities said the govt property suffered loss of several lakhs.
Urging the administration to stop transporting coal on the Saradhu road, area residents said over 50 people die in road accidents each year. Heavy vehicles, including coal-laden trucks, flout the no entry, they alleged.
Students requested Simaria sub-divisionalal officer (SDO) Sunny Raj to stop the operation of trucks till board exams are over to prevent any fatalities due to accidents. A Class X examinee, Pawan Kumar, said, "Saradhu school is not the centre of matric or inter this year. But hundreds of examinees take this road to reach their centre in Tandwa block headquarters or Hazaribag."
SDO Raj said, "We are ensuring the strict implementation of no entry, seizing or imposing fines on vehicles that violate the rules. FIRs have been registered against violators under various sections of the BNS." A villager, Vishwanath Mahto, said, "We were without power till afternoon due to the uprooting of electric poles in accident."
